The actual kidnapping was shot from lots of different angels in a short space of time to make it look more like a struggel and more frantic. The phone scene that you can see to the left is shot from a wide camera at the start of the conversation and then gradually zooms in on to Liam Neeson, this creates a more dramatic effect
